Newbie Here Glad To Meet All
I finally got my chance to post my first message...been reading this forum and it has been very informative. I just got my first Pcar and I must say this car is awesome.
I got a 2002 996 C2 with the ff:
Interior:
Full Leather package
Standard Turbo hand brake
Standard Turbo shift ****
Sports seats with painted seat back (match with exterior)
White face instrument cluster
Bose sound system with upgraded speakers
Heated seats
Thicker steering wheel from factory
6 Disc CD changer
Exterior:
Full factory GT3 aerokit with GT3 RS front bumper
GT3 wing
Zeon headlights with headlight washers
Full 996 Turbo brakes
Engine:
3.6L X51 engine. The previous owner did all the tasteful mods. Me, I'm just starting to learn. But this forum has already taught me a lot about Porsches. Keep up the good work guys. Been trying to upload pics but I always get this message: "There seems to have been a problem with the 6speedonline.com Forums database."
Guess I just have to wait 'til it's fixed. Thanks all.

welcome! the picture uploader has been broken for a while now, but here's a guide of how to post pics without it.

Just upload your photos to flickr, right-click the uploaded photo in your flickr site, select copy, then paste (ctrl+v) the pic into your post. It's that easy.

Am I correct in asuming the X51 was put in later? I didn't think it came out till 2003. Was it a retrofit of the X51 kit or did they do an engine swap. I know the cost of a stock rebuilt vs X51 isn't that big of deal (only a few thousand), but the retrofit was expensive to a stock engine (around 10k-15k for the kit) and the top rebuild is done by the dealer's only on blocks with less than 25,000 miles (and 30+ hours of labor)....
