I agree the recessing for lights should not be there, and if you did put lights there I think it would be too many lights IMHO.

Other than that it is a nice mod for a early 996, something for me to think of if I need to replace mine.

The yellow car was a prototype piece and the black bumper is the first production piece which will be added to the owner's black 996 and will be installed and painted on Monday from what I am told. So picks of this part on a black 996 are coming. It was my concerns as well on the indentations for the lights but no lights. He said that was only on the prototype and the production pieces will look like the black bumper which you can see has left out the lines around the light area. More and better pictures will be available soon. I will keep you guys up to date.

I do think that this would look better on a 2002-later 996 and that is supposedly in the works. Stay tuned.

Yellow is my colour and so I like the lines. Yeah the pics of the black unit is not that clear at all but I do now see no lines for the lights. What about a grill in the openings? Any plans to have some put in, say horizontal plastic ones?

I think the only think that will work for this piece is either filling the holes and making them flush or adding lights. Anything in between will just look weird. Adding mesh there would just be too busy on an already busy bumper. You'd have more holes than bumper

I think the lights or anything there would be too much. That is why I think the 2002-later car would fit this even better because of the cleaner headlight area.

Here is one of the prototype bumpers and the owners black 996. I could look into making the light holes functional if a customer wanted them. He mentioned the lights are like $285/ea.

I like it, it looks really good!
Too bad they didn't retain that strip of air-inlet vent at the bottom edge of the hood, I like that part especially.

Will they be working on one for the C4S or Turbo bumper?

Wow looks like swiss cheese with all those holes. Would look the same if painted yellow too I bet.

After looking at that most recent pic, I would say for sure.... No lights, no extra holes. Just fill them. I would be a really great looking bumper. Even better, fill those extra holes and add the GT3 vent right below the hood line. You'd sell a million of them.

you guys have great eyes...I can see what you mean now with all those holes. I was just blinded by the "coolness' of the bumper and really did not take a good look.

I am guessing having the lines/holes smoothed out would be pricey?
