Just a little Rant - You all been there...
I took my newly aquired 01 C2 in for a simple little service, and the service facility managed to put a little dent in my front right fender, and scuffed up my leather steering whell. WTF!! Granted it is a 01, and its only a $40k vechicle, but it is my pride and joy at this moment!! I love the car, but come on, be a little Fing careful when working on a clients car!!
sorry... i feel a little better..

thanks guys, i am not really the type to raise hell, to be honest the workers I came in contact with were all very nice, they gave me good information... I just wish who ever was working on my car was more careful.
I think I would have second thoughts about bring my car there again... anyone have a good indi shop to work on the car in socal? TIA

I'm the opposite, I only goto dealers they will always make something like that right, they don't want to risk a multi-million dollar business. I had the dealer scratch my shifter up (some one's ring or something did it) and offer to replace the whole shifter for me. I offered for them to try to buff it out 1st, I'm picky but not nuts. An independent would just try to buff it out and pass it off if it didn't work, never would they offer to buy a $200+ shifter for a simple scratch.
As for oc996dreaming comment on his car is only an 01 and cost 40k, it makes no difference. Age/cost has nothing to do with it. You wouldn't accept it on a 25k honda. If you take care of your car, then the shop should do the same. you had a 2006 Ferrari, if it was full of dents, coffee stains and scratches, then you'd have no grounds to say anything. But if your 10k used Miata was in perfect condition and well maintained, then you can.
