have one...like it..keeping it.... those of you who missed on the group buy... TOO BAD FOR YOU.

1.) why doesnt PORSCHE include this in stock form.... because it costs extra money!! and you are NOT driving a RACE CAR... you are driving a street production car where some things are left easy to save money...even on a PORSCHE...why dont all Carrera's have GT3 suspension, brakes etc

2.) the install is EASY less than 1 hour...just make sure you move the boots AS FAR OUT as possible, this makes things a lot easier!!

3.) i noticed a difference on power delivery, and my *** dyno likes the difference too

can you register in the EVO SC owner's registry thread I have in the 996 section? it's a nice reference thread. It will only take a minute.

i picked up over 10 rear wheel hp. i have the dyno charts posted on here somewhere. if you search my name and RSS it will probably come up. Not a whole lot on the low end. These engines just don't see much on the bottom of the rev range.

Will this make the engine run lean? Will the DME/ECU correct the A/F ratio in time because I read in the RSS website install instructions that it may take up to fifty miles for the DME/ECU to correct itself and if it's running lean, that can damage the engine.

It's not going to run lean. It adds a little power, but it's not a supercharger. The ECU is more than capable of correcting for a little more air.

No noise here either. However, between the headers, the supercharger, and the two 10" subs; I don't think I could hear it even if it did make some noise

I installed the plenum on my 99 996 tip about 3 months ago. I can't say the difference was earth shattering, but it definately helped the "oomph" at above 5k rpm, especially in second and third. Install was not too hard, just a little frustrating messing with the two rubber tubes on either side of the plenum. Overall, I'd recommend it. Scott.

Any way to try before you buy!?

I'm interested, but skeptical and would like to see for myself.

Thanks!

Funny how can you be skeptical? Did you look at what DD Dyno results were? Think everyone on he is lying so you'll spend the same money they did?

I just installed the K&B filter and how u describe the power is EXACTLY how I would. first not much, second u hit about 5k and the sound and the power seem to be stronger, same for third. hmmm

So looks to be the big difference is that thing in the middle that redirects the air
flow better to the sides?
NICE
