Bosch Bypass Valve (A cheap and reliable upgrade)
Part number 06A-145-710-N- $50
The 710N is a VAG part that has proven itself to be reliable up to ~20psi of boost and doesn't require lubrication. This part is available at at any VW or Audi dealership. They have updated the valve even more which will change the "N" to another letter, but as long as it is an"N" revision or higher it is a good part.

How to disconnect PSM
On driver's side you have a plastic cowl/cover with a hole for brake fluid and this same plastic cover holds the interior light.
Remove this cover.
Now you see the brake master cylinder and the ABS unit. Next to the ABS unit, under the master cylinder there is a cylindrical pump, this is the pre-charge pump. Unplug the power connector (fairly thick black and red cables supply power to this one).
Here are the pictures. https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ml#post2853373

Not 996TT specific, but one of the most useful tools for enthusiasts is the Durametric Software and Interface.
Please note, there is v5.0 and a new beta 6.0B (which on the Professional version of the cable, allows you to do some functions like PIWIS.)
