fitting TPMS
#2
You will either need to order new sensors or get the old set of tires/wheels broken down to take out the old ones. If put new sensors in yourself make sure to torque down the sensors to the appropriate in/lbs which is a very low number if I remember correctly.

i will get new ones but where and how do i fit them? any pics?
Peter from Wheelexperts told me i can hook them up with clamps but not a very good idea if you drive above 200km! i want them hooked properly and safe even if i drive 300kms:-D

Depends on the wheels - most wheels today can take the TPMS attached to the valve stem...but some can't and need to be banded. Be sure you have the right wheels.

Do you have a rubber valve stem or are they solid? To fit them you need to have the tire off the wheel you just pop in the stem/sensor through the valve stem hole, and then just screw on the outer cap. It’s really easy, no instruction required. You might have the other style though. If you go to the dealer they will tell you which type of sensors you have, and you can get the extra ones there at the same time if you want. As to the band type only being safe at that speed, I think that’s a disclaimer for legal reasons. Even if it came loose it wouldn’t do any thing other then rattle around in your tire. You can’t dive the car fast enough to generate enough force to loosen that band.

These sensors are really universal, they mount in the smaller diameter part of the wheel hoop, where the bead lands when the tire is mounted. Just make sure who ever you have mount the tires knows what they are doing or else they can damage the sensors. Putting them on is the easy part, dismounting them without damaging the sensor is the hard part.

Mine was mounted this way. I don't know the parts but PM me and I can send to you to right person who did it for me. He bought some parts from somewhere and I was specific about not banding and he didn't like it either. It was either this way or drill another hole in the backside to mount them. Sounds bad but if you can't see it unless you look its not that big of a deal. Most of the Custom Wheels are generally TPMS compatible. My Works were not so this was the solution and a good one at that.
