Springs and spacer questions
#16
Who makes a spring with only a small amount of drop, like 1/2 inch? My 996 was lowered with H&Rs and it rode like crap and was too low for normal use.
Also I am considering H&R spacers at 7mm front and 14 mm rear. Good option or should I consider something else? I want flush wheels but not sitcking out of the wells.

I found some used bilsteins that I got a good price for. I want to go all all out with sways, dog bones , toe links ect.
Springs are a huge improvement over stock. I am also selling a fabspeed gen 3 exhaust.

I'm using the RUF Lowering Spring & RUF Spacers (7mm front & 15mm rear) & I'm loving it, it drives like a dream much better than stock & it looks perfect.. I'll Post some pic tonight after I get her detailed....

GMG springs, sways, bones, toe links, thrust bushings here. The bones allow you to correct the suspension geometry in a lowered car, the toes prevent changes in geometry as the track surface changes. 20mm drop exactly(3/4"), rides pretty well, really performs well at the track, can't say enough about the GMG package. DD/city driving is not an issue at all.
GMG ROCKS!!!

I've had the Champion/H&R springs for about 3 months now. The handling and ride is improved over stock. The drop is the same as the GMG and others. My impressions mirror the positive review in Excellence magazine. The only downside is the front end scraping, but this happens with all the springs (and stock too).

Ride comfort is improved because of the spring design being a true progressive rate spring.
Its a 20mm drop all the way around.
I can assure you the ride is better than stock and better than any other lowering spring combintation on the market.!!
There are countless hours and miles of testing on several combinations and we found something that works on our U.S. road ways.
Prices are as follows
GMG WC 997TT Spring Set $695.00
GMG WC 997TT Sway Bar Set $695.00
Rear Dog bones ( optional) with Indy Car rod ends $1050.00

does this improve handling, and how do your springs compare to techart springs

Ronnie,
I'm not sure how many mm is the drop, but I can tell you that it is exactly what I wanted, I don't have any problems with bumps, cornering, & high speed. I got mine from RUF facility in Bahrain.
The RUF web site is not updated as i know, but if you give them a call I'm sure they would be glade in helping you out.

Ruf now has adjustable coilovers with a rear sway. Revalved Bilstein's I think, PASM compatible.
