Tires For 997 Turbo . Replies Needed!!

There are three OEM tires although two are mostly used. Bridgestone RE050A rated "N" and Michelin PS2 "N1" tires. Apparently they're now only available through Porsche dealerships because if an exclusive agreement between the tire manufacturers and Porsche.
IMHO, the PS2 are the best but then again I've never had the RE050A tires before.

I saw them on tire rack, in stock and available. Don't get bent over by the dealer on tires, just click on the banner above rt.

Same here, I ordered it originally from Tirerack but then they emailed me saying that they didn't have it available any longer because of the exclusive agreement with Porsche. They instead offered alternatives that were non-N rated. No thanks. I'll stick with my "N" tires.

I just checked Tirerack and it looks like those PZero tires are N1 rated. I guess the only question would be whether they can sell those tires or not. I'd give it a try.
This is the message I got from Tirerack when I originally ordered the PS2 tires from them:
"Unfortunately, the N-spec tires you ordered are restricted from our sale on the website and only available through your Porsche dealer
The only option we have available are Pirelli Rosso Asymmetrico at $293 front and $475 rear. Another option is the Yokohama Advan Sport, but the rears will not be available until approximately November.
Please confirm this email with me and please contact me if you'd like to pursue alternatives. Also let me know if you do wish to cancel this order and go to the dealer and purchase."<O</O
