Availability of Direct Shift Gearbox and X50 upgrade
Folks-
Probably old news. The Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG/S-Tronic) and X50 power upgrade will be options on the 2009 997 Turbo, possibly power upgrade available earlier.
RC at Rennteam may know more.

No definative proof yet, except that I do provide that well known Stuttgart company in Germany with defibrillators and other medical expertise and equipment. Maybe I heard something there! (or not?).

Thanks for the infos...
so the facelifted tt must be MY2009?
my dealer said there are nothing change for the 08, just the new seats and colored wheel crest options.
so DFI, LED, 500HP, Bluetooth and iPod interface must be included for the 09?

I highly doubt it. Nothing has been said just speculation. We will have to wait and see. I suggest(like I always do) that no one gets excited and waits and sees. Pics will surface way before there is an announcement they always do!

Thanks, I guess it will be wait and see again.
IMO in the long term it might hurt their sales, Porsche has become a different Company, with a lot more models etc, they want to grow, my believe is that if they want to do so they should provide more info
Although the 997TT is a great car, they do not have a monopoly, more and more viable alternatives are coming to market, some at a lower price or with better specs
