Anyone drive Toyo Proxes R888 tires on the street?

Folks-

They are DOT approved for street driving. My favorite tires of all time were Toyo Proxes RA-1 (for both street and track).

Any feedback?

Thanks in advance. - Gerry

295/30-19 would be a bit short for the turbo

MKS-

The fit turns out to be perfect. I think they are a bit oversized according to their specifications. They have a pretty soft grip, and during the next 3 days I eill find out how ther they ride at the track. Many 997 Turbo owners around here rave about them (okay, so I talked with 3 today). The downside is that they have a soft grip have a short half-life like a competition tire, but have been told they are good even in the rain on the street because of the deep grooves.

I guess I will find out. Thanks - Gerry

Have driven them on the street with the GT3. Extremely loud. Grip and rain traction is fine but they are really loud.

Very very noisy. On the highway after they are a bit worn in you wont even hear the exhaust over them.

Grooves dont help in the rain, they hydro plane very easily.

Not crazy about them on the track either.

Switched to Michelin Pilot Sport Cups and like them better in every regard. Less noise by far, more feedback at the track, and so far driven them through a few rains and havent hydroplaned, more confidence inspiring in the rain.

The Pirelli Corsa can do both for you and it's quiet.

they are the noisiest tire I've ever driven on the street... I actually prefer the RA-1 over all as a tire. They're not much fun in wet either
