What was your Ultimate Porsche Driving Experience?

My husband and I took a trip with Fast Lane Travel/Porsche Travel Club this fall and spent 10 days touring the Porsche Factory, driving on Weissach, driving Porsches for a week on the autobahn and through five Europeon countries. The hotels and meals were all five star. We drove their cars as hard and fast as you could ever dream of driving a Porsche. It was without question the most fun I have ever had. So I need an idea for next year - another Europeon Vacation of some sort? Porsche Sport Diving School? Track schools? Europeon Delivery of my 997TT in 7/08? Need ideas. Would love to hear what your ultimate Porsche experience has been. Thank you. (PS: If there was golf somewhere along the way, my husband will be happy too!)

Check out: www.fastlanetravel.com

As for giving you, Greta, ideas on what to do next year. You should without question go to the Porsche Driving School

The best part is that the Ross Bridge Resort where I stayed at has a world class golfing course too.

You'll have a blast! I had so much fun that within a month I went back again for the Masters. There was one fellow who had gone to the Masters a total of 18 times!! I think he's gone back a couple more times since then. I recall him telling me that of all the tracks he's been to around the world, Barber Motorsport is his favorite. I agree with that without question.

Are you still planning to go to Germany again for the Nurburgring experience?

Yes, go to Fast Lane Travel. We did the 2007 Fall FEST (not the Treffen - that is just two days of driving and the fest is 7 days). The 2008 FEST includes a day on the track at Nurburgring and a track day at Liepzig too. I have the itinerary which isn't posted yet. Cost will be approx. $9500 pp - worth every cent!!!

Yes, I would like to either go back for the 2008 Fall Fest or do Europeon Delivery. The problem is my husband doesn't want to go (on a Porsche vacation again for awhile). I am trying to talk a girlfriend in going with me as she would be a good dutiful passenger and still have fun. But, I don't think her husband will let her go. I may even go on my own. I just don't know what to do. It would be fun to get some folks from here to go - you have to pay abit more for the fest if you go alone because you have nobody to man the CB radio while you are shifting/driving. But I did it one day and I was fine. The Porsche Driving School sounds great. I'd like to do both!

Porsche driving experience? That would have to be the Porsche Driving School at Barber Motorsports Park in Alabama. Otherwise, it would be our annual drives to Santa Barbara for Bimmerfest. (I'll be doing that in the Porsche this year.) Wildest ride would be laps on the Nurburgring in a BMW CSL and the BMW Ring Taxi.

Yes he can! He is responsible for me ditching my expensive driving gloves. He said, "If you need to wear driving gloves you're gripping the wheel to hard." He was right of course. I had a death grip on the wheel. He had me relax my grip and it made driving so much easier.

That is very cool. Does she drive a Porsche? I'd like to email her if she is open to that? Can you send me her email? I am looking for other women who drive Porsche's - and do fun stuff like that.
