I've been hearing that the reliability on these cars are on par of a Lexus. If thats the case, than I'll be definitely looking for a 997 TT as my next car.

Yes, they are very reliable cars and can be driven daily with little headache.

I've had a total of 7 or 8 996/997tt's over the last few years. The only problem I've ever had was the spoiler on a 996tt failing to retract properly - but that was at -35C.

If you had owned one less porsche maybe you could have purchased the sunglasses in your sig.
Porsche's are stun gun proof but not bullet proof.

My 997TT is my 1st Porsche. And its not my last either. My cousin has a '96 911 Carrera(dont know the 99*'s) that he purchased used in '98. He drives it very hard, but takes extreme car of it. He has had no problems except replacing the clutch at 45k miles. He just recently got a rebuild on it and added a supercharger. Thats the only reason why bought my 997TT, Porsche's are very nice cars. Any German built car is reliable.
