That's not an erroneous price... €189,460 is the base price of a 997 GT2 in Europe. Cars cost a lot more there, that's why this would seem so expensive to us Americans. There's no point in converting that price from EUR to USD, because the cars in Europe and the U.S. are priced very differently. In the U.S., the base price of a 997 GT2 is $191,700.

It is quite common when a price is quoted in foreign currencies to give the equivalent in US$ at current exchange rate for US readers to get a sense of the number. BUT that does not mean that is the price in US market.

At $191K, the 997 GT2 is a steal. Remember, the 2005 996 GT2 went for $195K.

Guys, cars are just more expensive over here. No use converting to USD, it just won't work. For example, my 2003 996TT was over 60k GBP when I bought it last year used.
