Turbo alternative? How about the $150,000 Cayman S

OK, I thought the premiums being asked for on the RS and GT3 were crazy, but this is nuts....some nimrod on eBay is trying to sell his 2008 Porsche Design Edition Cayman $ for $150,000! Thats $68,950 above the $81,050 sticker price! Here's the link to the lunacy...Buy it Now before it gets away!

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2008-...QQcmdZViewItem

This is the FIRST one in North America! The lowest Edition Number 003 - As you might know: 001 Was the display model and 002 went in the "Porsche Collection Vault". You are bidding on my 2008 Cayman S Porsche Design Edition 1. This is the actual vehicle! I was lucky enough to get one of the 250 that are allocated for the North American market. It's an early November production. It's Edition # 003 / 777 - The perfect Christmas gift for the true Porsche fan! Only 777 Made Wordwide and only 250 in North America! Be one of the first and one of the few in the World who will own this most exclusive and Limited Production Cayman S! Porsche hasn't started advertising this car yet because the official release is planned for January 2008, and when they will, the prices can only go up - If you are able to still get one!

Pictures for display purposes only. Options may vary. Copywriter for pictures and text is postgolf. BUY-IT-NOW offers are welcome. I can add a BIN option.

Here is the configuration:

The funny thing is that I just saw one at Barrier Motors and I believe it's available for MSRP.

People pay over invoice if the car is special. Audi R8, Corvette Z06 when it first came out...not terribly special. GT3RS, F360 CS...limited production numbers...definately special.

Is this limited edition Cayman going to be special?

Pleasse! Its a Cayman with decals. No performance upgrades and nothing special except for the special briefcase! In fact, if I was going to get a Cayman, I would opt for a paint to order option rather than the boy racer look.
Kind of like the Honda Accord special edition that I had in college.
