great pics bsm!
i have to admit i miss that area! as you said there are hundreds of miles all throughout that region. both west of the cities towards the ocean or east of the cities towards the vineyards.
the full loop could look something like this...start at vallejo take 29 north all the up and around clear lake, continue north on 20 to willits then continue on 20 west to the ocean. youll end up between mendocino and fort brag. then follow 1 south all the way back to the bay area!

Anything worthwhile to stop and see on this loop richtor?

"Best" because it's close to LA yet pretty much empty on weekdays. I mean, there are multiple roads around LA, but this is stands out because it's close enough, yet not full of cars and motorcycles, like Mulholland highway for example. Mulholland is even closer to LA and has spectacular views, but this one has been my car's Bilstein suspension's "proving ground." :-)

I have a few in Orange County but I will not give the location online. A group of us go every month or so. This site is about 40 miles south of LA. few cops, few cars and lots of 40MPH to 150MPH pulls.

From LA, Hwy 5 north to Frazier Park exit to Pine Mtn (arroyo seco) to Klipstein Canyon Rd to Hwy 33 through Taft to Mariposa to Hwy 58. Take Shell Creek Rd to Hwy 46, take Estrella Rd to San Miguel for fuel. Take Hwy 25 to 198, over to Coalinga, back to King City on the backroad ( can't remember the name), north to Greenfield, again on 25, take Carmel Valley Rd to Monterey or Salinas for the final tour de force. 450 miles of backroads in one day! Make sure you stay overnight in a motel with a jacuzzi!
