If not too late on your order, the RED gauges are a factory option... they even show up on the Porsche website car configurator.

My bad - just checked, not there... could have sworn was there before, either "Instrument dials in exterior color" or "Instrument dials in Guards Red". I know it used to be on the configurator, I remember it being an option couple years back when I was ordering my 996 C4S.

I am sure it is easily available as an "exclusive" option, just ask your dealer.

i did and they seem to think it's not. i have the deviated stitching and some other exclusive picks but looks like i have to go aftermarket for the dials

I would push back hard on your dealer... "not an option" to me sounds like they either they don't know or aren't trying hard enough. I know I've seen plenty of 996's and 997's w/ OEM Gaurds Red dials.

And honestly... just about anything can he had as an "exclusive" option.

Unless there is a new order guide, the last one does not show red. Go to page 8 under "Interior Cosmetic Options" on the order guide at the following link.
http://www.bumperplugs.com/2008%20Tu...er%20Guide.pdf

Shows Sand Beige, Carrara White & Speed Yellow, but no red.
