turbo tuner module

has anyone ever heard of these guys or tried their products? it's a piggyback module that plugs into the maf sensor and supposedly adds 35hp/50tq for $800.

It's just a resistor in the MAF that tells the ECU that less air is flowing thru that actual. ECU then will allow more boost. Very crude, and hardly optimal. ECU will be using fuel maps for the wrong conditions until adaptation occurs.

Wonder how true this product is. Sounds too good to be true, I think. Wouldn't one of the other big tuning companies think of this first? Hopefully, we can get a review of this thing from someone on this board.

I tuned with split second devices in the past on domestic and japan product. none were this plug and play rather very labor intensive lap top mapping changes. results were average, this product scares me for this car...jmo

That product works with the map sensor not the maf sensor. If you have a flash thats not needed. I think this unit tricks the map to not show the ucu the full boost psi.

no, there are maf tables for changes but labor intensive map tables that required small cell changes at a time. maybe they have changed, that was awhile ago and now"plug and play" should be interesting.
