ending my lease w/ Porshe Financial..

as much as I love my 997TT, it just doesnt make sense for me anymore. since I got my M5, I just dont drive the P car like I used to. I costs me an arm an a leg each month and I find it sitting in the garage more often than not. not that I cant afford it, its just that I feel like I am wasting thousands of dollars a month.

from what I have read, Porcshe Financial does not allow lease transfers.

this is the first car I have ever leased. I usually buy my cars. are there any outs in this situation??

why not drive the Porsche instead of the BMW... Since you've made the BMW seem as a bit of a blockade to pleasure...

Talk to the dealer, they may take it on consignment type of deal as the car is still in relatively high demand. Im sure they can easily perform a lease transfer if the conditions all align.

Did you put $$ down on the lease? If you did it could be an attractive offer for someone to simply take over the lease payments. Would be surprised if the dealer could not coordinate this regardless of who did the lease.

find out what your buyout is, and then figure out what the value of your car is. If it's pretty close, just sell it yourself. If you're upside down on it bad, see if the dealer will consign it for you. White is hot right now, so you should be able to move it pretty easy.

for those that are interested, the payoff is $126,715.54. The car has 4200 miles on it.

here is a scan straight from the sticker showing all options.

here is the thread I posted soon after I got the car. there are lots of exterior and interior pics.

You will owe the remaining payments plus the residual. With a slight shortage you should be able to get out of it.
