Yeah.... Don't know where to start with that. A GTR is less than $80k ($67k), so it's clear that counting >> you. Go practice mathematics 001 and then come back.

Of course it is. They could sell the turbo to a dummy and buy a GTR and have £50k spare. You see, your teacher really was telling the truth when she said that maths is useful.

This is a bafflingly stupid post.

A fast lap gets you the pole in qualifying, doesnt win a race.

RACE CAR- built to win a RACE!

On a personal level, why on earth would you try and label me having small man syndrome is funny because that attribute is exactly what you display continuously. Cowards can't objectively defend themselves so they resort to tactics like yours. Excuses and beating around the bush is all we hear from you. The GTR was clocked on video around the ring, and tested by TRUSTED automotive publications. So who do we trust, an annonymous wanna be racer boy like you or multi-million dollar organizations who's very existence depends on objective purity? No, actually I'm anti small man syndrome which is why I put you in your place. Your logic is that Porsche owners are snobs etc. when no one has even displayed such. You think no one wants a TT because a guy in a GT-R can beat them in a drag race that 5% of them will ever do. You have no understanding of anything but trying to make yourself feel bigger than you are. I need none of this, I put my talk into action and not just keyboard arguing, but you on the other hand............

Trust the magazines if you want, over time you'll see they will start to contradict themselves. I trust the real world, not a magazine editor telling me how fast a car is related to another one. KTHANX.

Furthermore, since you can't hold a thought for more than 2 posts, as I said before I love the 997tt, and am currently contemplating purchasing one. I have nothing against Porsche cars, in fact I currently own 2. So you see you don't know diddley. For sure, I have nothing against Porsche. What I do have something against are snobs and elitists, because they are ignorant, and hold themselves in some high esteem which is baseless...like most of your statements. You said you love the 997 TT and then proceeded to throw snobbery attacks at everyone, typical little boy stuff, I'm inclined to see through your fast and the furious in disguise outfit. Snobs and punks are a fact of life, and you'll find some here, but stop being so insecure to start accusing people you dont know of being snobs, it's pointless and since the majority of the people here know someone else here, you are only making yourself look bad.

Lastly, I make a decent living, and trade weekly/daily in $100-200k lots. I'd love to meet you on the other side of the trade some day. The market needs more people like you.
Meet me at the track.

This is my last post on this because it's clear bigotry thrives here. I suppose I've met worse. Such is life.
Lets take a poll from some racers and let them judge if they think that someone who uses this dialect in reffering to racing actually races cars.

brake it? heard it through corners? this is too good. but you can still school us on what a race car is.

And no I'm not talking about street racing.

We have a weather forcast already? From where? I've heard it could be in the 60's if we get sunshine and good weather.

NT-01's and RA1's are of nearly identical compounds. I think the RA1's have a harder/racier sidewall but that's it, so the rear end grip will be awesome like the NT-01's so you'll be in great shape. You made probably the best choice. Just make sure you are easy on the throttle out of turns, use the momentum and not the gas, 911's have exceptional grip under momentum go instead of trying to power your way out of every corner, try to carry more speed through the corner, the back end wont come out unless you have power to it, or have power to it and then lift while turning. remember that.

If he had RA1's he would have mentioned them and he didnt, and if he did they would certainly be shaved.

I don't think you are saying what you mean to say, because this statement is inaccurate. Rear weight biased cars don't carry traction on the front tires nearly the way a 50/50 car will. Carry more speed into a turn and you will find when turning the wheel the car just plows. You need to transfer the weight onto the front early to set your turn-in and then throttle to get the weight immediately back on the rear outside tire to get max traction.

Yes, I meant to say that.

I probably should have explained it better though so here goes.

Most people at DE's suffer from chronic overbraking, all this does is get people slow in the corners and they end up having to use ALL power to get out.

I say carry speed "THROUGH" the corner, not "INTO", and there is a big difference. Carrying speed into a corner means that you are going farther before hitting the brakes and beginning the brake zone, this is what can cause you to plow. Carrying speed through a corner means that even if you start your braking zone earlier, end it earlier and let off the brake earlier than you usually would, in essence, dont slow the car down as much before you turn in, this allows you to carry momentum through the corner without plowing through it.

It's essentially bringing the best momentum out of your non momentum car. Of course with anything you have to find your limits and the cars as well, but in an ideal world you want to be just below that plow threshold.

This is a tool for beginners - moderate drivers and works well in 911's. Of course opinions vary and you'll find some guys that want to trail brake every corner, that doesnt work for me.

Where this is applicable to Martin is that he will now focus on carrying speed through the corner which then puts less emphasis on powering out of the corner which in his RUF GT2 can be scary. It's safer for him as opposed to overbraking, slow through corner, slam on the gas. Even if he plows all day, it's better than 360's.

Robert if you are coming to 2k8 I would recommend the R6 Hoosiers for TWS. TWS is a fast course and there are a few high speed sweepers that Hoosiers are much faster thru. Turn 2 (120+ mph turn) CCW at TWS I am 10 ft wider tracking out on Michelin Cups than on Hoosiers with the same steering input at max traction. That means either I reduce the throttle or I am in the fields. Turn 7 is also about a 100+ mph turn on the CCW course.
