What is really sad is that the new M3 just came out, yet no one is paying attention. I mean, they are using M3 to dry the track! I think M3, more than 911 should be worried about the GTR. They are both around same price, maybe GTR is $4000 more but the difference is not that much. I built the M3 at their website and it came out to $65200 with Navi and other options. For $4000 more, you are getting a whole lot more performance.

I know exactly what you mean. I have an M3 now and only gave the new model slight consideration. There's a lot of competition in that price range now (RS4, C63, GTR, IS-F, etc.) vs. 6 years ago when the E46 came out. I'mnow looking for the next level up in performance which brings me to the Turbo.

Owner of GTR running 11.67@111.6mph

Edmunds.com got 11.6 with their test, and this video tells us that a normal guy can achieve those numbers.

I'm very sorry, but as much respect I have for the GTR, the guy driving the porsche didn't really seem to have such amazing experience driving Porsches...looks like he was never trail braking and was just skidding...

I have to say the GTR is just an easier car to driver vs. the Turbo. Doesn't mean the GTR is a better car. Get a good driver in both cars and then see what the result is. Maybe have the factory driver of Porsche and Nissan go head to head in each car.

That would be the ideal situation but until then we have Best Motoring and Car Magzine at full tilt in the sometimes modded GT-R while drifting, chillin or on bad tires in the TT.

I would think that a legitimately faster car wouldnt need all the extra advantages.
