My new 997TT w/Twin 30R's...

we have reached the desired power levels of this project. i want a true daily driver that i can pump in 93 octane pump gas and produce 800 - 850 crank horsepower (700 - 750 rwhp). also, there will be a race program file which will produce 900 crank horsepower (800 rwhp) for occassional weekend or track use. tym has successfully reached 800+ rwhp on race gas. he is now working on the drivability. when this is completed, he will turn it down to hopefully make 700 - 750 rwhp on 93 octane pump gas. this will be the ultimate true daily driver! the car made 800+ rwhp so easily that tym feels we can easily reach 900+ rwhp when the internals are done!

Congrat - amazing stuff - I just cannot believe that a stock motor can handle these numbers. They still say that the 996tt motor is done ayt 600 ~ rwhp and the 997tt motor is that much stronger

tym said the 997 motor is superior than the 996 motor. the 800+ rwhp on race gas was reached with a very conservative tune. tym feels confident that we should easily hit 700 - 750 rwhp on 93 octane pump gas!

Yes....

It depends on what chassis dyno you are gauging the crank hp on.If its a dynojet ....well then several 996,997 make 700 crank hp on pump if its on a mustang well then there are only a few that make 700 hp on pump.I do know of one or 2 that makes 700 hp @the wheels on pump...both 996's and both with built motors....one of them is on a Mustang.

Im not sure if you mean mass produced but then I don't know of anyone that sells it as a PUMP kit... they rather sell it and market it as a race (high HP) kit... more like a 850 HP set up...
my point is....
One has to get somewhat custom to achieve these numbers and most P cars with a GT3076R or a GT35R will produce 700hp crank at .8 bars bars...
It would not make sense for a tuner to make all this custom stuff and market it as a PUMP gas file.... they rather sell it as a higher boost set up.... and that makes sense becasue that's what we are looking for...
Evoms uses a flashloaded between pump and race gas...... Others use Boost controllers... but we all achieve the same goal....

I have not seen anyone offer BOLT ON packages at those levels as most are interested in what the race gas will produce... another 100 rwhp.... and that requires motorwork.

just wondering as i will be using my car as a true daily driver. i want the ability to pull up to the corner gas station and pump 93 octane gas and still make over 800 crank hp. And for occassional weekend or race use, i can flip a switch to race gas mode, pump in the race gas, and make 900 crank hp. Personally, a bolt on 800 hp kit really appealed to me since i want to put 10K miles per year on my car.

I just want to be sure we are talking 700 CRANK hp?If so I would think 700 crank is available from several tuners. Here is one example https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...o-results.html on a Mustang dyno @ all 4 wheels is making 570,depending on the conversion used is pretty close to 700 0r about 684. Put it on a dynojet and it will make 700.This is just a regular GT700 ....add intercoolers and a few other odds and ends and it should get there pretty easy.I believe AWE is claiming 700 crank on pump gas on their 997and I am sure Proto will achieve this as well.If it is 700 at the wheels you guys are talking about well that is a different story.Nonetheless Switzer is making impessive power with your car.Joe
