That is the way a 30r setup is supposed to look. I just recently saw a 997 that was done with 30r's and it had to be the biggest POS rig i have ever seen. I wont mention any names but it cost at minimum 20k and looked like 5k worth or work. this setup looks like its worth all of 30k.. switzer is the man. PERIOD!!

so in your opinion the work looks comparable to protomotives??

1st page 7th post, quote :Tym said that the twin GT35R's should be good to beyond 750 rwhp but without forged internals the hp will be "capped" around that figure.
From this post, 750 at the wheels ? Over 800 crank on stock rods? It is a beautiful build. It is just my opinion, however.

700hp?
Let there be turbo lag....
I've had trouble getting 5.7L GM V8's to 700hp with boost and spectacular reliability all at once. I know the Porsche 997 TT engine is much stronger and better prepared for boost, but still, without some really high grade fuel (and a little luck), its just hard for me to imagine that kind of power.
Again I admit I'm not exactly fully briefed on Porsche engines, but I'd still kick a little money into engine internals, just for safety sake.
Awesome sounding build though, cannot wait to see (and hear! don't forget some video!) the results. If you are ever up in NYC let me know, maybe we'll have a race (I call lengths).

Switzer amazes me again. Superior fab work, a standalone, and all developed in 2.5 weeks ? I don't know of anyone who can turn around a custom project like this that quickly and have results like this. Looks killer.

I just got back from checking out David's car....it looks even better in person. Very impressive work Tym!
He fired it up for me and it sounds great. Revs extremely fast with the custom aluminum lightweight Tilton flywheel assembly he had made. If everything goes well, I think he plans on getting it on the dyno over the next few days.
