Tym Switzer is infamous around these parts
Gentlemen...

The car was run AWD. The only time it has ever been run RWD was on the dyno.

The car was run on 19" HRE P40's with Toyo R888's set at factory pressures... just as it was driven to the track and driven home.

Hell, I took my wife up to the grocery store in the car that evening to pick up a few things, lol. Then I took it back to the shop to keep me out of trouble.

I'm not so sure I want to give it back. You'll have to say "please".

Quick question on this setup using a standalone in conjunction with the stock ecu and emissions testing. In some states such as NY emissions testing is done through the OBD2 port(reads vin and codes) and as long as there are no codes in the ecu you pass emissions. Will this setup work that way or will the computer see faults in the ecu.Reason I ask is as far as i can tell there is no way around this (short of using a dealer plate) and is the reason i never went with a stand alone in the first place.

P.S. please do not take this as any sort of criticism toward you or your package.

Holy effin crap. May have to rethink my next car purchase, the bottom end on the 997TTs appear to be insanely strong. Congrats to Tym and David!

thanks everyone. this project was to build the ultimate street car, which i think we have accomplished. it was never intended to be drag raced. but it is nice to know that you can ease it out of the hole and then stomp on it and still run a 9 second pass. tym feels that if we were more agressive on the launch, we could easily see mid 9 second passes all day long! and it is extremely impressive that the car was run exactly the same way i drive it everyday on the street. it is a full weight car with 19" wheels with 40 psi of pressure in the tires. absolutely no adjustments were made for the track. truly amazing when you think about the fact that this car was never built with the intention of drag racing!

i love my S65. it is just so damn comfortable and moves out like a freight train when i stomp on it. truly one of the best sports sedans ever built. I was made an offer i could not refuse on the CGT, so i sold it. Everything is always for sale at the right price!
