My new 997TT w/Twin 30R's...

I flew to Ohio today to meet Tym and check out the Sledgehammer. The clutch takes a few minutes to get used to, but once you are used to it, you can see how insanely easy it is to nail perfectly fast shifts everytime. The acceleration in the car was totally nuts, but I never felt out of control of the car. The temp was relatively cool at 65 degrees, but the Toyos stuck like glue.
It was great meeting with you today Tym, you run a tight ship, and you know your ****. A no nonsense, tell it like it is attitude is what I like. You passed the "Laura" test with flying colors. Thanks again for a great trip, and I will be on contact with you very soon about some upgrades.
David, it was really great meeting you today as well. Thanks for picking us at the airport in your S65, and letting me ride in and drive your Sledgehammer beast. We have very similar tastes in cars! (and watches, haha) Your Sledgehammer is just what you described it to be, a practically unbeatable, full weight, comfortable street car. You are one hell of a stand up guy.

It's a standing mile (from a stop to a mile) as quick and fast as you can get it.
In Goliad, Texas on an airstrip.
Happens twice a year, next one is coming up October 25-26th.

Here is a vid of Eddie Bello in a 993 with 1200+ hp. He goes 226.8

aaron, unfortunately i will be in Spain. So Tym will have the honors of driving it down at Texas. We are hoping to be the first to break 200+ mph in the standing mile in a Porsche 997 Turbo!
