Do you want you 997Tt to be on TV

There is a great opportunity from the PCA 911 Turbo Registry. PM me if you have a 997TT, Gallardo, LP640 and F430 and would like to be involved:

Here's some info on the show.

Head2Head is a ground breaking new TV series for distribution on the new network Torque.TV, later going out on Streetfire.net, Youtube, Google and elsewhere. It's an Americanized Top Gear that's been tweaked for an online audience. Each six-minute episode pits two rival cars against each other in a Head2Head comparison. The host is two time Formula Drift champ and Hollywood stunt driver Samuel Hubinette. Of course there will be 'by the numbers' comparisons, but where Head2Head rises above the rest is in its witty subjective opinions and its deep interaction with the online community in forums and with user generated content. Never before has an automotive TV program engaged in a two way dialog with owners and fans. Look out because H2H will be engaging, entertaining, and controversial. One thing it's guaranteed not to be is just another run of the mill automotive TV show. It will be heavily promoted on national cable TV and online and will begin it's flight schedule in late in April 2008.

These links take me to a sign-in page that i cannot access. Where will all of this be taking place? Also, what are the consequences of losing, hopefully not like 'pinks' where you lose your car! Possibly would be interested.

Not like Pinks. Only to make a TV program. I had 20 interested and only 4 slots that filled fairly quickly. The testing and track time is at Willow Springs in California.

Below are the links.
Torque.TV Corporate Profile

Torque.TV is a digital television network for motorheads, offering full screen, broadcast quality, video entertainment 24/7 for car culture enthusiasts around the globe.
Torque.TV, launching October 8 2007, is a ground-breaking beta version of the next generation of car, truck, and motorcycle television, brought to you by the nations leading producers of vehicle entertainment. The company is located in New York with production operations in Los Angeles, CA and Nashville, TN.

The timing, technology, and demographics are aligned for a triumphant Torque.TV take off. Today, broadband technology delivers millions of user generated videos and iPod downloads. Emerging technologies enable broadband content to reach the public quickly and directly.
"With Torque.TV, car culture enthusiasts can enjoy programmed, full screen, appointment television, whenever they want, wherever they are," said Jesse Raiford, CEO. "But advertisers also get a better business model; more options to reach viewers, accurate, real time measurement, the ability to target more narrowly, and ultimately, a more meaningful connection to customers."
Viewers take control of "Torque.TV", (no "www." needed) by browsing programmed channels or electing to "program it yourself" via an on-demand video vault for car, truck, and motorcycle lovers. From hot-rodders to vintage car collectors, tuner to concept car aficionados, and chopper to sport bike owners, enthusiasts will find high-quality, tailored content to suit their tastes.
There is no charge or registration to watch Torque.TV. The network will showcase commercials and banner ads that are relevant to the audience, while providing advertisers the option to target by age, channel, and consumer interests, via a number of video, banner ad, sponsorship, and product placement options. Torque.TV has signed up an impressive roster of advertisers for launch including Magnaflow, Edge, Denso, Agricover, Optima, K&N, Royal Purple, and Airaid.
Torque.TV was created and launched by a small group of investors with a successful track record developing, programming, selling effective advertising, and growing networks, channels, and successful businesses around their passion for TV, cars, trucks, and motorcycles.

Torque.TV's main channel offers:
  • Driving with Danny
  • Torque.TV Top Ten
  • Best of the Motorweb
  • Miss Torque.TV
  • Samples from additional channels

Channels include:
  • Trucks
  • Tuners
  • Hot Rods & Muscle Cars
  • Classics
  • Motorcycles
  • How-To
  • Next Car
  • Torque.TV main Channel
  • Motorsport
All that is needed to access Torque.TV is a solid Internet connection (and of course fervor for all things fueled). Torque.TV recommends a connection speed of at least 150 kbs. Powered by Narrowstep, Inc., Torque.TV automatically checks and sets an appropriate connection the first time a viewer logs on. Viewers can manually test their broadband speed with a free tester (making sure they are getting what they are paying for from their Internet provider). Viewers can also manually adjust streaming speeds to match their hardware. No downloads or peer-to-peer file access permissions are required. A section of the companion website is dedicated to helping viewer's get the best quality picture. The website also includes a Blog and other car community options.
Through a Windows Media enabled web browser, Torque.TV can be watched on a computer screen, routed to a plasma screen, viewed on Xbox, and, coming soon, viewed on mobile devices. Torque.TV goes where viewers want to go, when they want to go.
