R&T: GT-R vs ZO6 vs 911

I think it was the driver probably driving AWDs and then RWD car, no seriously think about it... gtr can be pushed through the bends like crazy awd pulls it out like there's no tomorow, turbo is kinda of there too, then there's light weight z06 with crazy power at the back wheels

The trap speed on the GTR is pretty weak in comparison to the others. But 5 seconds on the track? 5 freaking seconds? Holy crap, and with a weight of 3800 lbs? It is like some kind of magic trick.
Maybe I will need to seriously consider a GT-R purchase, but 70+k for a Nissan just does not sit well. It certainly does not look like a 70k car. I was looking at a 997s but man, this performance can not be overlooked.

Great choice of track and drivers.
We took on some of the trickiest mountain roads in the state and the challenging Buttonwillow Raceway (where former Nissan factory driver Steve Millen joined us).

The Car and Driver Lightning Laps showed the Z06 spanking the 997tt at the track. Now the turbo is a smidge faster than the Z06 but gets spanked by the GTR. Seems inconsistent. Also, there should be a bias disclaimer since Millen is a Nissan employee of sorts

did anyone else notice they said the 997TT was on PS2s and NOT Cup Tires. hmm...so basically the GTR was on its Cup Tires and the 997TT wasnt. no wonder the lap times are like that. wtf do they always do this? put all the ****ing cars on the same damn tires!!
'gtr performed well on the open road, but we gave the nod to the Porsche'-damn right!
by 120 mph, the 997TT starts to walk to GTR.

by 120 mph, the 997TT starts to walk to GTR. and in the 1/4 the 997TT romped all over the gtr, about 5 mph faster!!
and once again, the Porsche basically loses in total points ONLY because of its price.

+1. Can't deny what they've been able to accomplish. It would be interesting to have a test where the cars are prepared as close to the same as possible. I'd also like to see a GT3RS, F430 and Gallardo thrown in there for comparison.

I just don't understand how a car that weighs 250lbs. more and has the same hp is going to be faster than the 997tt. Gearing or what? Am I missing something? Tires, maybe, like what Porsche C4 said?
I understand this car is very "high-tech," but it is what it is is the real world isn't it? Are the numbers given by Nissan a little off maybe? Please explain to me how this can be. I guess traction may be the only difference?
