Its a turbo, it tested well in the 50 degree weather. The 997TT would have done equally well. I'm not bashing, look at the R&T test. I will say, bravo to Nissan. Great car and great performance!

The Nissan marketing machine is working. I am starting to actually consider one of these.
So far every dealer I've spoken with has just laughed when I told them I'd take one @ MSRP though.

ha yeah, the i dont see them going down anytime soon with production being limited.
i know i remember seeing someone on Nagtroc saying that there was a dealer around them selling at MSRP. or like 7k over at the most. so you may want to search there

The temperature in the R&T test was 57degF, it was 52degF with C&D. Not much of a difference really.

Impressive performance machine, despite its exterior/interior looks and weight. Any estimates when/if the prices will settle down to MSRP?
This can only bode well for the 998TT, great to see some healthy competition!

I have been told that Nissan dealers must pony up $25K to qualify as a "GTR" dealership in addition to attending requisite service and sales training schools. No doubt the $25K membership fee will be added to as many early adopters purchases as the market will bear. IMO- with advanced publicity such as the C&D article flooding the media outlets MSRP+$$ will last quite a while.

Especially if the GT-R is using launch control? Isn't this supposed to take the human variable out of launching the car?
