Question for owners with black HRE P40's or P43's?

Interested in hearing from actual owners of these wheels or any other black monoblock and how are you cleaning the inner wheel behind the spokes? Do the spokes hide the brown brake dust or is really noticeable or not much at all?

Once a year, I swap tires to winter snows...During winter storage, I wash my wheels with a boar's hair brush, degreaser, and wax them. Makes them easier to clean during the summer.

Everytime I wash the car I stick the sponge/microfiber back there and work my way all the way around the inside of the rim. Every incjh of the wheel gets washed but I also have 20's not 19's. I find that the best thing to do is dry them with compressed air afterwards, take the car for a quick spin to heat the rotors and remove any moisture (no rust) and then I let the whole deal air dry. I also hand wipe the inner with another micro towel. The black will show the brake dust but it has a cool orange hue to it!!

Hi Boost.

I actually had something similar, but actually found the nylon bristles scratched my clear coated HREs on my old 996TT.

I'd personally recommend a boar's hair brush. It's about 20-30 bucks...Phil and Moe on the detailing page have them available.

This is what I use and love: long enough so that it cleans the width of the wheel. I just place it in every opening and runs it back and forth a couple of times. http://www.amazon.com/Large-Wire-Whe.../dp/B0007LMC1C

For the real tough spots, I clean "manually" with MF towel. But the above brush gets rid of most of the dirt. It's quick and easy and that's why I love it.

(Oops just noticed your question is for owners of black wheels only. Sorry. )
