Do the Fabspeed cat bypasses (cat deletes) set off CEL's?

I guess we need more information. Is this your car - if so, how do you not know what's on it. Did you buy the Fabspeed bypass kit or just the Fabspeed V3 exhaust system? Check here and let us know what you have. http://www.fabspeed.com/997TT.html

cat deletes will generally set off a CEL......you need a bypass


I've had a dealership steal aftermarket bushings off of a car.......didn't realize it for 3 months when I put the car up in the air to do some work.

I seriously doubt they would take your bypass pipes off and install new cats esp under warranty. If they did anything like that, they would have charged you for sure. Your sig says that you have Fabspeed stage 2. Is that an ECU flash or is it referring to your exhaust? Maybe they reflashed your ECU back to stock to get rid of the CEL.

Its possible, but not likely. Check with them to see what was done.

Also, you can get an O2 simulator to prevent the CEL from coming on.

Its nice but too sedan-ish S and 7, nahhh ...plus a CLS...
