Dude you gotta listen to them in person. There is no way you can judge them positive or negatively from clips. No, the Tubi doesn't sound like a civic.

 

Fabspeed with muffler bypass pipes. Sounds sweet, just loud enough IMO.

The AWE does have an extremely nice sounding low frequency bubbling that mimics the exhaust sound of my Non Turbo 997, one that I miss *so* much, so you might want to check it out. (I am an audiophile so I am pretty confident in my sound analysis. ) From past postings, I believe Fabspeed and AWE are 2 of the deeper sounding exhausts.

Cargraphic btw is also very very nice sounding, but in a different way. Not as deep sounding as AWE, but more like a machine gun staccato, especially at WOT.


Johnww comment: Problem with Tubi is lack of "low requency rumble" as you call it. Owned a 2001 and 2006 M3...they both sounded like Tubi ...like a 4cyl honda or a freakin revved up running chainsaw. On the other hand, I like the deep-throatier AWE sound which is close to my favorite speedart deep rumble sound. What I would like to hear is a direct comparison, that is side by side, standing still...two porsche revved up, one with AWE and one stock. The sounds may be very similar with the AWE maybe a bit deeper rumble (but with more HP!!). In a test like this, the Tubi porsche would clearly provide the lighter-higher-level-tone Honda hissy sound.</O>

 

I would go with the bbi Autosport exhaust system. I haven't seen a better quality exhaust system anywhere.

 

I have a Tubi on my 997TT and it sounds great, but I wanted something a little louder hence its currently being changed out for the new Tubi race exhaust system. Alex from SharkWerks is doing the work and if you can wait he/I will likely be posting a video of it in a few weeks when all the work is done.

If you're in the USA, do yourself a favor and forget about 9ff. They suck at customer service outside Europe and the last two US distributors just gave up on them and sent their stock back or fire-sale sold it.

Anubis, does your Sportec exhaust have the throttle switch installed? Can you take some photos of the switch system?

 

That race system is looking good. Why is it "off road use only", is it beacuse of the DB level? Do you have a DB reading on that system? How about a price?
