Since I own a detail shop, I'm not very picky about the color. As long as it's black.

I agree that basically every color is going to look good. Silver and grey are definitely easier to care for. You can go to your local Porsche dealer and look at the cars....all the silver and greys will look like they just got washed and all the darks look like they just came out of a dust storm.

That said, I'd vote for midnight blue for a sharp color that isn't ubiquitous.

GT silver has proven to be a fantastic color to own. Hides dirt and dust, different from the common silver enough to generate tons of compliments. I would expect resale to be an easier task with any shade of silver also.

But all comes down to what YOU want. If your started with GT Silver I'd recommend you stick with it. Went down that same road for a few months, the TT looks great in many a color but I stuck with GT and that was that.

My current car is Bassalt Black, which I love on the TT. I have had previous P-cars in Seal Grey, Atlas Grey, and Midnight Blue. If you do not like black, I think that the Midnight Blue is stunning and different. However, as with black, it does require constant maintenance to keep it clean. GT Silver (and the lighter greys) certainly will require less maintenance and look better when a little dirty. That said, color is so subjective, so go with your gut. With the possible exception of Macadamia Metallic , I love all of the colors on the 997TT.

So here's my take:

I had a silver gray M3 (similar to meteor but a little less rich with red interior), interlagos blue M5, and now a white TT.

With white the one thing I did not realize is that it actually shows dirt very EASILY. Some colors look good dirty, like rugged, such as bassalt black (there is a black 997TT nearby that never gets washed and still looks good), but white just looks cheap. However, when its clean its a completely different story.

With meteor gray, I think you will have the same experience as I had with the M3, it looks good dirty, and looks great clean, and if you get a sharp contrasting interior it will really set it off.

Otherwise I would vote for bassalt black, I dont think I would go with a silver. If it was a sedan, I agree some silvers look great, like the silverstone for the M5 with the light blue tint, but its a turbo, it should either be stealthy or a little outrageous.

On the bright side, regardless of what color you choose the car will look great, just a side effect of great design

1. White - if you plan to keep it spotless
2. Meteor - if you like the sports, serious GT look
3. Black - classy like white, but looks good dirty

Are you talking about the "Man from Chile" color of the Werks K1?

YES! that would be the one. Only works on a Porsche I believe, but looks awesome with the black wheels.

white looks nasty after a day of street driving, shows all lower road grime. It's also not as hot as when it first was available for the tt, catches your eye when you see it but not as sexy as a dark color. I bought Meteor after seeing a S coupe at the dealer in sun light, my 2nd choice would be basalt. as mentioned our opinions are like *** holes...everyone's got one, go with what pushes that button for you.
