I'm usually working late most week days, but I do try to spend my weekends now autocrossing or going to track, so if you come out to just about any event thats at nassau coll, giants stadium, or englishtown I'll probably be there. Im also going to be trying to hit up alot of days with pdadrivingschool.com for their track days and hopefully June 19th with hookedondriving.com.

I was wondering for people who do autox and track, do either the cups or r888 heat up fast enough to give better performance than street tires during autox?
Im thinking of getting a more racing slick tire for the summer so that I can use them at the track and autox events, but still be fairly safe since it would be my daily driver for the summer as well. Obviously I'd avoid monsoons but I would want to be safe in normal rain.

the R888 will not heat up fast enough for AutoX......tried that one

This is a very interesting thread indeed... perhaps I should try the R888's or the Nero Corsa with all the comments here...
I have been using Cups
with no issues but wear and price...
My friend moved from Cups to Hoosiers, yet on the very last track day due to unavailability he end up with some Nero Corsa's and he really liked 'em
finally, the Evoms700 after a Dymag failure moved from Hoosier's to Cups and managed a better time
So, Cups are good overall in the Puebla track, Nero Corsa's are also good as per my friend Bayo, and both above the Hoosier's.
In Mexico City's track Hoosiers work better tha all the R compund tires.
We still need to find out what the R888's can do down here, I went to the local Toyo and they don't have them
