if two do i've to take them same size ?

Whats the purpose for using spacers? The only time I recommend them is if the wheels are not wide enough or the offset isnt quite correct(Techart like to do this) to make the wheels flush with the fenders.

I am also thinking of spacers for the "look". Is this a mistake? Does it change driving dynamics or cause any wear issues with bearings or tires? Don't want to screw anything up.
