Track Numbers for Doors

Track Numbers for Doors
The magnets that were made for the 993 dont stick on the 997's doors...
Any advice as to what material to use? I am assuming just vinyl stickers? Those will only be one time use correct? I am not looking to just tape paper numbers or use painter's tape to create numbers unless absolutely necessary.
Any paint friendly, multi use "decals" available for this application?
Thanks,
Niels

I use full sheet labels that are temporary so you can peel them off with no residue. You can get them at Office Depot and print numbers on them on a laser printer, I recommend doing this at the office because its a lot of ink. I use one sheet per number.

I got a set of vinyl decals for the windows at a track session, I liked em so much that I decided to just leave them and register everywhere else with the same number. I got about 10 track days lined up in July so I'll get to put them to good use.
They are just cut outs in white, match the car great, and very understated so it doesnt really bother me for day to day driving.

Member on rennlist sells the numbers for $10 for a set, which is a good price. Nothing is really going to work because even the vinyl reuseable ones end up having to be taped. So just get the disposables.

All of our customers just get number only decals and take them off, or just get a set and leave them on. Prices vary depending on size obviously. Wont have issues with the paint like magnets do if you dont clean under them.

Depends on your PCA region rules, some do not allow window numbers. I use colored 3M electrical tape and make numbers each time out. It only takes a few minutes and a roll of tape costs about $2. But do not use black tape, the adhesive is a lot stronger.

haven't tried it myself but you can try static cling. talk to bob@bp-motorsports.com or (916) 985-2269. i spoke to bob at one of my track events and this is what he got. said last you the whole season provided you keep the sticky side clean after every use.
