Stock 996TT are K16's and the GT2's and X50's are K24's. The K24's can be modified to make more HP then the K16's. So most people do the K24's and modify them, they are a straight bolt on as well.
Onelove's car we did had modified K24's and he loves the setup, on the lowest amount of mods and everything in the summer Florida heat his car made 530rwhp with stock aibox and all. The K24's can be made to make 600rwhp

We were using errrr............. GT-45's running at 2.4 BAR and doing a photo-shoot at a beach nearby. We were just getting warmed up, gunning the throttle to 9000 RPM's for effect, exhaust at full song and just as the rev-limiter kicked in we sort of hit the point of no-return... below:
