rscholl is infamous around these parts
I was going to wait for a later 09, but b/c of the possibility of the new engine I decided to keep my 08 slot. Just in case.

The MY09 turbo is already on the German car configurator.
- No facelift
- Of course no PDK
- No turning headlights possible
- New PCM
- Optional ventilated seats are possible.
- Some other less important MY09 options also possible.

I believe the '09 will become by far the most collectable 997 turbo.
Only half a model year produced and with new much improved PCM , bluetooth option , etc , etc.
Also there are rumours the '09 has improved PASM /PTM.

For all those people thinking of keeping there 997 turbo for eternity I would strongly advice to buy '09. Also you 07/08 owners who say "it's a keeper".
The value of the '09 in the long run will offset the loss made today in trading up.

I hope this is true. The only thing I wish the 09 would come with is the turning headlights and the LED rear lights.

993s, I agree with 90% of your statements, I think the 997TTS will be a very sought after car providing it's the last GT1. I think anyone with a 997TT should be stoked with this development.

That would be the icing on the cake but it won't happen. Guaranteed !
Remember, the cake itself is already perfect without the icing.

Surgeon, there won't be a TTS in '09 as far as I know.
TTS (if it comes) will be at the end of the lifecycle of 997/2 I believe.

We know for a fact that '09 is the last one with the GT1. This itself makes the
car highly collectable. But add the subtle changes compared to 07/08 and it really becomes a collectors dream.

A "drivers dream" are all 997 Turbo's.
I have an '07 and I can vouch for that

But an 09 is a "collectors dream" in the sense that it is a unique one year model only. Kinda like the 964 Turbo 3.6. (not that big diff but you get my drift)

Keep the milage down and it will be sold over a substantial premium compared to 07 08 in the future (10-15years from now)

Anyway, if yours is DD it does not matter much as this collectors thing is only valid if you are planning to keep the car for a very loooong time.

Mine's a drivers car , not a collector car.
