long tube headers and dyno tune .. with no cats... !!

i never understood why most of the movies taken in the gulf are taken with ****ty cell phone cameras.. at least get a decent digital camera.

Very good outcome for the Ruf. Modded Z06 with similar mods are slightly faster than SLR's.

Those mods won't make a true 550 rwhp on a C6 Z06. More like 510 or so.

If that particular Z06 had a true 550 rwhp, the race would have been a dead heat, or the Z06 would have slightly beaten it.

Sounds like you're a fan of magazine racing.
I know cars pretty well but it would be difficult for me to predict the outcome of a race by only knowing one single piece of information, like the corvettes horsepower.

We had an R12 at the last 60-130 shootout. It ran a mid 8.

I didn't get to run him but my car, or Dennis' modded Z06 would have put at least 4-5 lengths on him.

Ruf's are an overpriced joke, IMO.

I believe that was a RUF R Turbo at the last event...not an RT-12. Big difference, bro.

I know RT-12's trap around 134....so it should be a high 6 / low 7 second 60-130 car...and should be a very good run with both your car and Dennis'.

That's why I don't believe the Z06 in the vid is actually making 550 rwhp (like Dennis' car is). Especially considering with the mods he listed above.

Those mods should be good for only 510-520 rwhp or so. Optimistic dyno, maybe?

Gotcha, Scott. I thought Ben said that it was the RT 12 but if they trap 134 then it must have been the 590 or 550.

Speaking of Ruf's, why doesn't Martin get a time for his GT2?

In any event, my goal will be 6 flat when I get my GT 3076's in.

just FYI that was the RTurbo and it is only 2 mph or so slower than the RT12 at the Mile.
