600 miles - Oil leak.

wow. just got my car and behold - a oil leak. Its ever so slight - about 2 inch puddle when I pull up.

If you look under the back of the car near the right exhaust pipe - there is a very small pipe that seems to go somewhere around the muffler to somewhere around the rear wheel axle - looks about a foot in length. its very small - 1/4 inch pipe - oil seems to be oozing from there near a rubber ring. anyone know what that small pipe is ?

I do have it booked in at the deal since I dont feel comfortable driving it around until I identify what this is

Turbo oil cooler line, let the dealer fix it, takes 10 minutes. Might just be a loose fitting? Would prolly refrain from driving a lot.

thanks again chris. just one question - why would oil be in a cooler line ?. or was it not oil ?.

yes. I have only done 5 miles in it today. its booked in tomorrow for them to check it. I certainly am not spooling the turbo's up to max anytime soon.

Oil is used to cool the turbo.

Those oil lines are in a very vulnerable position. A guy over on rennteam actually crapped his out (lowered).
btw Ray, you need a new avatar.

I hope so too. But I think these are different oil leaks. According to Chris (TT Surgeon) - he thinks its my turbo line - which - if true - is an easy fix. I am taking it in today to see whats going on.
