I don't agree as long as the vendor uses common sense With common sense being used, the vendor probably has a lot of good info to share

After a lot of thought and second thoughts from reading this forum I went ahead and had the GIAC flash onto my Turbo. All I can say is what a difference! The car is very, very fast, sport mode is ridiculously fast. Autodynamica did the straight flash per the Champion/GIAC parameters with my Tubi exhaust. Luis took care of me, he did a great job as usual. No dyno but it's supposed to be good for 50-70hp+ and I believe it.
we initially were going to try another well known vendors software package on the car last nite (supposedly better), but we couldn't get it to read the ECU. I guess it's just not ready for prime time. Conversely the GIAC went in without a hiccup, 1hr time "skin to skin". Now that's what I'm talkin about!

I'm thrilled with it, really "wakes things up" when you floor it otherwise feels totally stock in terms of drivability.

Congratulations on your new found power. Glad to hear the GIAC went so smoothly as I am having it done soon. Would the GIAC flash be different for a car with a TUBI exhaust than the GIAC flash for a car with AWE or Fabspeed? Is the Champion/Tubi flash different than XXX/Tubi?

Glad you pointed that out.

The G.I.A.C. flash for the stock turbos is the same regardless of where you get it.

Mike I think he means if there are different parameters for different exhausts. I would imagine not, since the variation should be well within the ECU's ability to adapt

are the e-gas parameters changed at all with the GIAC flash? I dont want my 'sport mode' sensitivity increased any, lively as it is.

I was attempting to figure out what TTGasman meant by "flash by GIAC/Champion parameters." That statement would make one believe there were different GIAC flashes for different GIAC dealers matched to different exhausts. My understanding is that all GIAC flashes for 997 Turbos with only an exhaust (by any mfg) were the same. Does Champion do something to tweak theirs or does GIAC make a special flash for champion?
