Blown What? Agency Power Racing Intercoolers are HERE!!!

look at this thread..although it doesn't address heatsoak... it shows that the IC's do help.
https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...stage-4-a.html
despite the 14degree warmer conditions for the evo IC's, they do seem to be more effective.
now to adress the heatsoak...its obvious that in the most extreme applications for our cars (roadcorse) factory intercoolers are weak. i can attest to alot of heatsoak with my older stage 2. now a great experiment would be to get upgraded ones and take em to the track, and see how they do.
In general i think it all boils down to individuals and how they drive their car. I personally dont go WOT once... if i take my car out for spirited driving, permitting conditions, i tend to floor it often... id like my car to be as powerful 30 minutes into my spirited driving, as it was in the beginning.

hmm i guess in order to be cool you must have 5 k american made intercoolers ..hmmmm.. , so the vivid end tanks even if they are a tad bit restictive and say you compromise abit of flow ... is paying 3 times the price woth it ? i dont think so amnd unless you making over 900 whp most likely these will work just fine !
like some one said there only as good as the welds, no matter where its made.i guess your 150$ nike airs are junk cause there made in china also.
i dont get it the guy trys to make a good affordable product and becuase there not 5k and american made some one has to jump allover him .if those guys want to pay the mighty porsche tax then go ahead .
hey Dk , did those monster intercoolers make the difference on that 623 whp on a 18g/k24 car?with stock fuel system and maf ? when the rest of the world with todd's tuning made a good bit less then that ? i mean if thats that case sign me up.

ARD - besides you blasting me every chance you get... if you think Blown6 has R&D in these, then your wrong. First off, you should be thankful for what we do. Blown6 has ripped customers off. Read the threads here. We have brought out many of our OWN made in the USA here in AZ parts that have changed the Porsche market. Or would you prefer to buy $1300 EVO silicone hoses. Seriously keyboard warrior.....

Dan: Are you saying the BlownSix had no R and D in the development of their intercoolers? I recall talking to Michael...the B6 owner a good year and a half ago about his product line when I was interested in buying one...and I was informed that he did in fact do R and D on them and had quite a bit of money and time tied up in it. He even sent me a cc of his design drawings and asked me not to distribute them. His problem was a fitment issue with the 930 half bay iteration and the fact he couldn't meet the customer demand or product delivery in a timely fashion, and drew some heat from folks who didn't hear back from him until sometime later....but I dont' believe he produced his line without any R and D....which makes this new product line more or less a counterfeit product....but that's what the Chinese and Taiwanese do...they either reverse engineer software or buy one of the products and copy them, then find an outlet that will sell them for less money. That's got to be frustrating when you see your original product line being copied, produced, then sold below your market price. I guess for the consumer it's great...same thing for less...but for the designer it's got to be frustrating and ethically wrong.
I mean, even your lead-in to this thread is "Blown What".....is a not so subtle reference to the fact you don't need to buy the B6 when you can buy the knock off for less.

No disrespect to who ever but I have to wonder why anyone with one of our cars who is interested in performance, ( yes even the street guys!) keeps trying to "find" something wrong with a new and improved product that would upgrade our cars with a high quality product that is cost effective?
I mean Dan and his Co. knock themselves out for us to provide good reasonable product upgrades that really in my own opinion cause I actually use the stuff is superior quality and great prices? What if he and they didnt do this we would have possibly fewer choices and options for our cars? Is that what everyone wants for guys like Dan with good products and support as well as marketing to just go away, I mean really if you dont BUY THE STUFF AND USE IT shut up!! if you do buy it and use it and have something constructive to say then I am all ears.
I have no connection with Dan or Vivid except I am a customer, used the stuff, it was reasonably priced and performed, looked and lasts as good or better than anything else out on the market and for usually less than 50% of the nearest comparable product.

chuck jones:
My music business got destroyed by the onset of the Internet. There is nothing I nor any p car tuner can do about copy and or knock offs.
I have seen tuners on this site sell Asian made headers long before vivid came into picture.
Even American made turbos have parts made on Asia.
It has touched just about every aspect of our economy.
Sucks but true

B6 still hasn't refunded me for the blatantly defective ICs they sent me a few months back. They emailed me weeks ago stating a refund but yet to see it....I'm going to have some legal counsel in Canada take them to court if I dont see a refund soon.

Personally, I don't think there is anything wrong about Walmart (i.e. Vivid) entering the Porsche market. For some folks, buying cheap knock-offs for their 2nd and 3rd hand 996tt's make sense when they aren't as concerned about quality and performance for a 5 yr old+ car. For others who want the best, regardless of whether it's IC's, headers, tuning, etc., they wouldn't even consider buying from Vivid and instead go to the highest quality custom shops who do their own R&D, tuning, fab, etc. Every aftermarket platform has it's spectrum of "shops"...it just took longer for the cheap resellers like Vivid to enter the Porsche market. I seriously doubt anyone is cross shopping these against the best available.
