Would you trade your 997TT for a ZR1?

Would you trade your 997TT for a ZR1?
I can't believe that there are so manny posts about the GT-R and hardly a peep about the ZR1 in comparison to the 997TT.
I would love to get my hands on a ZR1.
Would I trade.. Oh probably. I had a Vette before the turbo, I put a blower on it and moded it up a bit. Sure, it was not as refined as the turbo but it was allot of fun and can be made to go like stink.

i have had vettes, turbos, etc, and i have learned. a 997tt is completely different than a zr1. a better question is would you trade your gt2 for a zr1, or would you trade your gt3 for a z06, or 911 carrera s for an 09 vette. the 997tt is better compared to a gt-r. in my opinion, the gt-r is a highly competent car, has great numbers, but isn't particularly a great looking car. the interior is nissan all the way. on the track, it looks like it performs spectacularly, but most people don't buy 997tts as a track car-i assume the same will be true with gt-r.

No . Despite the ZR1's engine potential the car lacks the sophistication of the Porsche in terms of design, engineering , reliability , customer service, resale , and overall ownership contentment --for me .

The steering is very vague on the ZR1 and it still has a leaf spring in the back and they use chicken leather for the seats.

^That can all be modded. I for one am a BIG fan of the ZR1, but there is room for improvement; leafsprings, wheels, hood, seats, hvac controls. Everything else is exactly how I'd expect a proper vette to be! Two different cars though. One's like meticulously engineered watch, the other is just, how can I put it, a red-headed ****.

Umm Nooo.
Not because it is a Chevy..
And not because it can beat up on a TT..
and not because I am a brand snob...
And not because I hate the smell of plastic when I get in my car
And not because I do not like the sound a leafspring tension when I sit in it.
It is because well....just because...

I think that the ZR1 is completely different than any other vette. The breaks, suspension, engine, body, frame.. All very different. You just can't lump it together wholesale like that.
The interior is a bit plastic in nature but you can get an upgraded leather package that includes leather on the dash and door panels.
The seats do suck. Nothing more than an emblem that says ZR1 vs the standard car. . I am really stumped by this as the CTS-V has optional Recaro seats. I would gladly give a few pounds for the better seats.
As for performance... Well that's one of the main reasons you buy a Porsche. The reality is that the ZR1 will take on any production Porsche on any track. You just can't ignore that and say "it's got leaf springs".
My wife wants me to keep the 997TT and the ZR1. We shall see... I do love the TT, especially with the TIP.
