12 GT-R's, most modded to some extent, some pretty heavily modded, cool weather and a hot shoe or two.

Not one lap at Steve Millens 1:56.9 closest time was .8 slower with a GT-R with suspension, aero (a big wing), non-stock alignment, and exhaust and someone who can really wheel a car.


You can hype Millen as much as you want to, but we've seen from the magazine results that he's no faster than anyone else in any other cars. And that includes mag editor drivers, who have actually been faster than him in the same car (except the GT-R).

So once again I tell you, either that lap time was a lie, or Millen sandbagged REALLY badly. And R&T posted all kinds of laps of him going around the track except the fastest one.

Go figure.

Without the graphics and glow - I would love to have that car in my garage.

 

More concerning is one GTR owner who discovered that the tranny temp peaks are recorded by the computer and scanned by the dealership. He has run 1 track weekend and recorded mutiple strikes into zones 2-4 out of a total 5 zones. The BW guys were seeing temps in the mid to upper 200's as well. Lastly, the upgraded gears are not due to market until March at the earliest, at a cost of $10k.
