998-TT test mule already on the road

they are using big parts of the current TT as camouflage. the important and interesting parts are the ones that look different to the current 997 TT. shame that the paparazzis didn`t catch the front.

I hope sincerely that the rear is a hard mold resembling the wing aero DF. That is hideous.
A bit early for the next generation turbo isnt it? The 996 TT went from 00-05. The 997 just came out as an 06, so the next gen would be due in 2012 with one year without a TT.
Besides the base model 99X always comes out first right?
Point being is this just a facelift with slight changes?

thatīs rite but not too unusual, the next TT (991 or 998 or whatever it will be called) will be out in ~late 2012 the earliest.
But the TT on the pictures is not a facelift, the facelift of the current TT with the new PDK etc. is ready for presentation.

also true and the test mule of the 998/991 carrera (that will hit the market in mid 2011) has also been spotted a few months ago, here is a link:

There were spy shots of the 997 in early 2000 when the 996 GT3's came out...

You have any more info on the PDK 997 TT? Everyone keeps shooting it down. Even the Porsche reps.

nothing specific about the release date, but someone who works for ZF (PDK manufacturer) told me that they solved all problems with the PDK and the torque of the TT-MK II and that itīs now ready to hit the market soon.

Nice, does the facelifted model include the new motor as well?
I think we'll see all the changes next year as a 10' model. No way they change the 09's that have already hit production. I think it will be a Turbo S or X-50 too.

I drove the new C4 PDK and loved it, it is very, very aggressive in sport mode. It is the only automatic I would own. The buttons on the wheel suck ***, and I am shocked Porsche did this. Lets hope the 2010 cars have paddles!
