Drivers Republic GT2 v GTR around the Nurburgring

with all the scrutiny surrounding the 7:29 time by the GTR... i would be surprised if they bring a ringer out for the vspec testing...it's going to be great when the vspec comes in slower than 7:29... how are they going to explain that one?!?!?!

HAHAHAH, that would be .
Vspec slower on the ring.
If Nissan doesnt report ring times anymore the whole objective of the GT-R is tainted with failure because they stated that as the primary goal, to be fastest at the ring.
I think the ZR-1 and ACR's paltry attempts and stellar results put a foot in Nissan's mouth.

i'm serious HC!!! when they test that vspec, they are going to have an independent panel to observe, they obviously can't afford to be called out "AGAIN" for bringing a ringer to the track... i'm guessing that car is going to be running 7:30-ish... which could place it possibly slower than the current GTR on that track... LMAO just thinking of that possibility...

Good logic, but they didnt learn the lesson the first time with the R33 and being slower in the V-spec would demolish their credibility more than it already is.
They will cheat and lie again, it's all they know. Independant panels were there the first time and they snuck a ringer by them. The press cant see the tune on the car to know it has more power which is where Nissan snuck the advantage in.

If they make a claim you had better beleive it will be rediculous and faster than anything we think is possible and faster than any other car has gone. So 7:22 or lower is what they will claim.
I'd be willing to bet the GT-R's budget has been cut some due to economic strains. So they are not going to release a time with the Vspec because whatever they ran so far (since they have IN FACT been testing at the ring), isnt the fastest. It's slower than the ACR, ZR-1 etc.

I thought you don't believe Best Motoring? Isn't BM supposed to be BIAS towards the GTR as you and your buddies so much believe? Why would they show footage of a GTR in limp mode during a race then, if they are so biased?
Oh, i see - you only believe in something only when it suits you eh?

Bwahahahahah, what? The freaking car went into limp mode right there in the video.
Do you think Best Motoring faked limp mode and car failure?
The driving on the Porsche in the vid was crap, but there is no doubt when the dash is lit up like a christmas tree and the driver loses power the car is in limp mode.
What are you talking about?

I'm saying that you refused to believe the authenticity of the drivers in BM, believing that they aren't driving the Porsches hard enough and are biased towards the GTR. So by your reasoning, why would BM show footage of a GTR going into limp mode during a race? Wouldn't that contradict their bias? Wouldn't that footage tell people that the GTR might be a little 'fragile'? They could always restart the race or do some fancy editing to leave out the GTR going into limp mode, but they decided to keep the footage. This shows that BM is not biased towards the GTR as you blatantly believe. But of course you know that all along don't you, but just refuse to accept it?

You obviously dont track, because you cant watch a video and tell when some drivers are trying harder than others.
You are too desperate, not worth the time going back and forth because your reasoning is aweful at best. You arent even a track enthusiast. You're just a rabid fanboy who cant live unless he validates the GT-R.

NISSAN RAN A...
RINGER !!!
No one... driving a stock GT-R...
has been able to come close to duplicating the fabled ring times posted by Nissan for the GT-R.
Modifying the GT-R to achieve a ring time that's not representitive of the car's true ability...
is simply...
CHEATING !!!

I'm fairly certain that other makes, including our own beloved make to which this forum is devoted, have reported fast laps at the ring which were accomplished with mods they did not report. However, none of those went so far as to officially proclaim that an unbelievably fast lap was completed with a dead stock car when it was not. Nor did they dupe auto enthusiast magazines into reporting unbelieveably quick 0-60 mph and quarter mile times accomplished with a certain function of the car which would void the warranty if actually used to accomplish those quick times. That's just wrong and it is committing an outright lie in order to sell their product. Shame on them!
