Keithta Porsche 997 Turbo VS Modded 07 GSX-R1000, Viper w/150 Shot NOS & ZO6 (VIDEOS)
#20
Since my performance related problems have been resolved, we decided to take my car out to a drag race meet on Friday night. Unfortunately, the area where these videos were taken were in a location without ANY lighting. It was literally pitch black, so the video quality is poor. Not to mention videos should always be shot from the car who is trailing so you can get a clear view of whats happening ahead. Nevertheless, we did the best we could.
My car was on 20" wheels for these runs. Too lazy to change to the 19s. Car was running MS109 (105 octane unleaded) with boost set between 1.37-1.4 bar. (20 psi)
Here are the vids:
---------------------------
Race 1)
2007 GSXR1000
-----------------
Mods:
Modded Air Box
BNC Filter
Throttle Body Billets
Power Comander
The bike asked for a 70 mph roll since he said its too difficult to keep the front end down if we started any lower. 2 people in the Porsche.
Also raced a 2004 GSXR1000 with a pipe and power commander as well (no video) we beat him pretty easily from a low speed roll. The 2007s GSXRs are much faster...
Heres the Video against the 07 GSX-R1000:

Race 2)
2007 Corvette C6 ZO6
----------------------
Mods: Stock
This ZO6 was beating up on a couple of modded turbo and Cobra mustangs and asked me to run so we went for it.
65 roll. 2 passengers in each vehicle to keep weight even.

Some time ago, I previously ran a different stock C6 ZO6 where the video is much clearer. In this video my 997TT was putting down about 50 whp less with coupled with some technical problems but you can still get a clearer picture of how the two cars measure up. Some of you may have already seen this:

Computer
150 Shot of Nitrous
Did 3 roll races:
1 at 40 mph, 1 at 65 mph, and another at 80 mph.
2 passengers in each vehicle as well.

keithta, what about drive-ability?
how you can compare it to the standard turbo with sport exhaust and ecu, I mean lag, spooling.
Can you show us movie from acceleration # gear from 2500rpm.
I thought about gt 3071 but I decide to install gt 28 rs, I need good spooling at low rpm, at the enter of the corner.

bone_doc s4: Not that bad on the street at all actually. I use it as my daily driver.
997silverturbo: Batmobile ZO6 sold his car I believe. So running him wouldnt be possible any more.

997 GT3 RS/TT: The boost comes in at 3200 RPM. Compared to a stock 997TT I believe the boost comes on at around 3000 or just under. Losing a few hundred RPM to lag in exchange for an increase of 350+ HP is a good compromise. If you are tracking your car like you are, the 3071s are bit too big.

As I remember 997tt with ecu and sport exhaust is running 1,2 Bar boost from 2800rpm with sport button off.I'm correct?
