PORSCHE 7-day factory shutdown to cope with downturn in biz....

As for the Panamera, I think it started off perfect untill they got to the rear end. They tried to make it look like a giant 911, and for the front, that's ok, but the rear looks bad on a full sedan.
They need to make it look like a real sedan, not a hatch, that's aweful.
How much is it gonna cost?

I think that the Panamera will grow on people, but the rear end looks like a modified caymann...
But then again it looks different from all other sedans. From what I heard , is that it the price it going to be in the cayenne price range...

If it's in the Cayenne price range it will certainly work. It looks good enough to steal some of the way too common 7 Series and some MB S-class and Lexus LS series sales away.
I think it will grow on people as well, it's different from the rest of the full size sedans (mentioned above) which look almost the same except for the front grills.

And please...anyone: WHAT THE HELL IS THIS!?!?!?

Most people don't realize how bad it already is in the car business. I live in Jacksonville, Florida and MB imports cars into the local port. Rather than take downtime at the plants in Germany they have been runnig at normal production rates and shipping the cars to the U.S. to put in inventory. I should post the pics of the cars they now have in inventory off the port site. Acres and acres of cars. I would estimate somewhere between 60 and 80 acres of nothing but MB cars of ALL classes. Easily 4,000 to 5,000 cars. The question is how are all those cars going to get sold if people are losing their jobs or cannot obtain credit for a $80,000 S class. This is going to get real ugly very fast. For those of you in the market for a MB now is the time to make a deal - 25% off sticker at a minimum!!!
There is no way all these cars (of all makes) will be sold. I was told that at the end of the day, many company will just crush them rather than to kill their own resale market.

That wing is pretty funny.
I was basing my opinion on them being Cayenne prices. At Cayenne prices it would have no problem selling at all. But at 130-200k, fughettaboutit.
They must only be making 10 of them to sell them for that price. What are they thinking? Who wants a giant hatchback for 200k?

Pics of overstock at ports???
To those who have access on the east and west coast to the "acres and acres" of the cars there...any chances you can post up some pics for some perspective? I know in my area the main entry port here is around the Houston and Galveston area. Anyone around there for some pics?
Thanks in advance!
