Hi!
Hi!
I'm new here,
from France and Porsche and high power machines enthusiast,
Before register I rode you and like the high engine tuning level we do not have in France.
Got a tuned 993TT and now going to a 997TT.
I would like to buy a Blownsixdesign Intercooler, what do you think about them?
thx

Welcome to the forum. You will love your new 997TT, it is an incredible car - I smile every time I get behind the wheel. Can't answer your other question, but I know there are lot of others who can and will.

Welcome K24F,
The Blownsixdesign is good but there are many great intercooler manufacturers here in the US that have done lots of up-to-date research and development this year. Looking for a set myself. I will post results and let you know. Maybe some others will give their input.

thanks,
I didnt' explain well, in fact I ordered to B6design and I'm waiting for, hope for a good quality!
It will be the last mods on my 993TT (got K24,cams,etc...560rwhp/800Nm) after that I keep it and start with the 997TT.
I think to beat my "old" one I need 600rwhp, then I follow your mods and experience!

P.

Hi ;-)
I think is a good occasion to test AWE intercoolers.
There is some details I don't like in B6.
1.there are restricted inside because of original porsche rubber.
2.there are not bolt on 100%.
3.I also saw better tanks shape.
Cheers, Karol

Hi!
My motor got stock cylinders but modified heads.
It is Pierre Ofzky in Switzerland who built it. (Ofzky is an exPorsche, exRuf, ex RStuning and now by himself for years, do you know him?)
It cost me a lot because we changed a lot of parts, but it's now very efficient and impressive, a friend with a CGT does not beat me, even at top speed!
I beat the rev' limit in 6 (321kmh/ 200mph on the GPS)after 1.5miles starting from 0!
But I'm now dreaming of a car like yours, I've already heard of it and see pictures!

I couldn't help but commenting on your thread as I am a big fan of Pierre Ofzky. Pierre was more than ex RUF, in fact he was the real father of the Yellowbird together with Reinhold Schmirler and they started together RS Tuning.
I would love to know more about your 993TT that he built for you, do you still have the stock rods running at 800NM??
Also, why are you going with a BlownSix intercooler and waiting for a year to get it? I am sure Pierre knows a thing or two about ICs and some very special suppliers in Europe such as Heggeman, Secan, LL&K, Marston etc..?
Do you have any acceleration data form your car please on GPS??
Cheers

Pierre is now a friend, I see you know his "history".
I got Carrillo rods.(not titanium)
Ordering by B6 is a personnal initiativ, I'm not sure it was a good one now, but I hope receiving soon the parts, I'm a bit anxious with this affair...
I do not have some acceleration data, but I had: a guy I met got one and we tried: I remember 0-100: 3,7' 0-200: 10.8' and 0-300: 28.6' (km/h)
The car cover a standing start km in approx. 20.3' and finish at 270km/h.
Even with "sport button" I bit with no problem a stock 997TT, especially after 200km/h: I can stay in 6th and it in 5th and let it away when starting after 190km/h (4000rpm in 6).
I can follow an Enzo from 0 to my rev' limit in 6th.
But with the Stock Ic I loose a bit of power when 20°C and more...
that's why I wait for B6, I hoped receiving before the summer...
Regards
Pascal
