Of course the key to any car cover is that the car must be absolutely clean before you put it on, otherwise it will scratch the clearcoat.

 

^you'd be surprised, especially with some low end car covers the material can be pretty rough and abrasive itself. thats why i threw out my old cover and bought a cover king. On the other hand im sure porsches factory cover is just fine, maybe just as good or even better than these aftermarket covers. again though, your safest route i would say is to find a satin cover. they are softer, lighter, breathable, and much easier to put on.

 

I agree on rough car cover because some cheap set are very hard and it really bad for the paint.

 

My OEM inside cover is great.

I use it most of the time after a good washing.
