MANHEIM Auction prices for 07 Turbo
#196
I'm in the market for a 2008 TT, or maybe 2009 (might be willing to pay up for the new PCM). This Manheim price thread is a huge help. Can someone post a pricing update for 2008 and 2009 Turbos?
Thanks

Sorry for probably a stupid question, I didn't read the whole thread but what is the break down for those stats?
The date is the auction date? price, mileage, condition? color, tranny? What is the yes or no and A?

Anyone here have any contacts to help me get a car at one of these auctions? Looking for 2007 TT Manual. I am in NJ. Please email me at sh.lee@me.com. Thanks.

who purchased a car form manheim ? I mean placing an order to a broker saves you money but it is a bit risky not to be able to really inspect the car and for sure, no way to drive it.
Am I paranoid or is it a big gamble to bid on those auctions ? Also for a little more, may be 5k more you can end up with a CPO... might be worth it...
chime in if you bought a car at auction in the past, good or bad ?

why spend the extra cash for a more recent TT than the 2007 ?
anybody can describe what the 2008 and 2009 have, that the 2007 doesn't have ?
I see a TT 2007 with low miles and CPO for 79k !
Phil.

Why do you say that? Much like the 996TT's (save for the second gear pop out issue) aren't the 997TT's pretty much bullet proof with very little, if any, issues?

Makes sense to have either factory warranty or an aftermarket warranty for any used Turbo, even though they have great reliability to begin with. You want to have peace of mind so if something does break, you are not stuck with a huge repair bill. These cars are expensive to buy, as well as to repair. A warranty also makes the car more marketable if going to sell it in the future. A friend of mine had a 2007 Turbo with an expired warranty and his spoiler did not raise. Cost him $1500 to fix. Another friend works at the parts counter at my local Porsche dealer and he told me that if the Turbos goes out, it costs several thousands each to repair/replace!
The extra money for a car with a warranty is a no-brainer. If the car is out of warranty, purchase an aftermarket one, such as Easy Care or Fidelity. If the car is a CPO from the dealer, you can pay extra to extend the CPO coverage. Just my 2 cents
