My car recently started having these issues... car idles very rough and if i drive it hard, the engine completely shuts off. It also seems like i can't take the boost over 6-7psi. Also, the car will mis-fire when accelerating

The check engine light came on the other day and it appears it was due to some emissons/air issue. We checked and cleaned the MAF sensors, but the car still has the same issues. We also checked all the hoses, etc and everything seems to be in place.

It has been raining here for the last few days... could that be causing the problem?

BTW, my car has a fabspeed exhaust (10months or so now) and fabspeed headers (put on just a few weeks ago). However, i can't see why the headers would cause this sort of problem.

Does anyone have an idea of what's causing this?

Thanks in advance.
Have you installed anything else on your car recently besides the headers? If you have any questions please feel free to contact me regarding this and I would be more than happy to help you out. If your car is shutting off and idling rough I would check the coil packs and spark plugs.

okay... just came back from the dealership. Apparently, it was just a loose boost pipe (both actually). not sure how that happened, but it was quickly and easily fixed.

Turns out the issues had nothing to do w/ the FB stuff

Jeremy-thanks anyways for the assistance.

Pretty frequent issue. I think the person in charge of installing the boost lines in Germany was visiting the beverage vending machine at break.
